Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires four to six additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia residency training after graduation from a college of dentistry. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, in addition to being a well trained anesthesia provider, Dr. Obenchain is well trained in treating a wide range of issues relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions specifically concentrating on oral pathology, wisdom tooth removal and impacted canine extraction.
Dr. Obenchain and his staff have the education, experience and resources to provide our patients with the safest anesthesia and oral surgical care. We pride ourselves in taking exceptional care of our patients and their families. Dr. Obenchain invests in state of the art anesthesia equipment and monitoring technology. All of our staff is Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified and well trained in assisting with conscious sedation, deep sedation, and outpatient general anesthesia. Our patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. Our anesthesia practices are compliant with American Society of Anesthesia (ASA) Guidelines.

Our Team consists of highly trained individuals who are dedicated in making your visit to our office as comfortable as possible. We will work closely with your referring dentist or specialist and their staff to coordinate your treatment. We are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in health and insurance policies. Our surgical team is experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants who assist in the administration of intravenous sedation, general anesthesia and surgery. We are Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified and are active in continuing education.
